We're leaving on the Glory from Port Canaveral at the end of November and would like stay somewhere that has a Park & Cruise package. Suggestions anyone?

If you do a search here, lots of helpful info will pop up. The ones I know about are the Radisson at the Port and Comfort Inn Suites. I personally like the Hampton Inn near the Comfort Inn, less crowded but not sure if they have a package. Good luck.

We have a reservation at the Radisson at the Port, you do NOT need to book the cruise package to park and ride. All that gets you is a breakfast buffet for two. You can just stay there and pay for breakfast. I didn't feel the buffet was worth the extra cost of the cruise package.

tbloxom,
In order to leave your car parked for the week you are cruising at the Radisson you DO have to book the park and cruise package which is what I think Redlyn was asking about. Otherwise your car is not registered as a guest and will be towed. This is the info we received.

CA Cruiser,
Thanks a million for the info. That was not what the reservation desk told me! So I will definitely check with them about that.

FYI
I just called Radisson at the Port directly and they confirmed what my original statement was. You do not have to have the Park and Cruise package. It only gets a free breakfast. They said to me again, they have complimentary parking for all their guests for whole cruise time. My vehicle information will remain on file until I return to the hotel to pick up my car.

CA Cruiser, did the Radisson tel you differently? This is the second time I have been told by the front desk and reservations the same thing. I'm curious how we get different stories.

My info was from last year. They had 1 price for hotel stay and 1 price for hotel/car stay, about $50 more but still less than parking at the port but no breakfast was included. We called the hotel a few day before our arrival and put our name on the shuttle list because it fills up fast on a first come first serve basis.

Default Reminder!! Call and get on the List Early

Yesss! Thanks for reminding me about the list. They did say call a couple of days before to get on the list for the shuttle. I'm not sure why when they cycle to and from the Carnival port every half hour, but thats what they told me at the front desk.

Just from my experience, by putting your name on the the list, you choose a specific time you want. The early times get booked fast. We always want to be there as early as possible so we try to be on the first shuttle over. Even with scheduled times, many people were still shoving, pushing, yelling and trying to "but" in and cause problems. Some people just took a cab for $5-7. Less hassle.

Did you HAVE to pick a time? I got the impression it was just a thing you showed up for.
Thanks for the help!

Yes we did. We picked the first shuttle over, around 10 am. They had 3 vans when we were there and I think they ran every 15 minutes. I think it would be worse chaos if they just had everyone show when they wanted.

CA Cruiser,
Tell me about the return. Did you disembark and just look for the vans and jump in?

We stayed at the Radisson in July. I was told that they were out of "Park and Cruise" packages, even though I had called several times before we checked in just to see if one was available.

When we checked in, I assumed that I would have to drive to the port. The desk clerk told me not to worry about it, and that I could leave my car there. You just tell them what shuttle time that you want.

The only advice I could offer is that, in my opinion, the hotel room was extremely overpriced. I did not realize that the majority of the rooms were "outside" rooms and not interior rooms. We were pretty disappointed for the price. We are sailing out of Tampa next spring, but if I sail out of Port Canaveral again, I will definitely be staying at the Hampton Inn.
