does somebody know here about a cabin on carnival destiny. what is special and how big is the bathroom. we are going with friends they have on the same deck twoo rooms cat. 8b did they have the same check in like us. thank you for your answer.
Ok- we have sailed Destiny twice once an 8A (2001) and a Cat 11 this past July.
We traveled with three people so the extra space is welcome space.
I will compare the Cat 11- there is an increase in storage -we had a full drawer dresser, a double drawer makeup vanity with chair and dressing area, two full closets, one with pull downs that can turn into shelves. The TV area was also larger with a nice marble/bar counter under it. The bathroom - a deep but narrow whirlpool tub with slidiing glass doors. Not an I can barley turn around type bathroom. The balcony was also a bit longer.
The sweetest deal was the Skippers Club. When we arrived we flashed our documents and said Skipper Club-we were escorted past the forming line and straight up escaloators to the Skippers Lounge. Here we had a separate checki n desk and then waited until the ship was ready for boarding. Once we could board they took all Skipper Club and "wedding Party" members onto the ship -skipping to the head of secuirty line and onto ship.
We did not have priority dis-embarking I heard that was for cat 12 and above. So a perk is no waiting to get onto ship. No other benefits other than larger accomodations -mostly storage and bathroom.
