Default Dolphin Swim

Can someone please give me a good recommendation on where they have had a good dolphin swim in the Western Caribbean besides Chankanaab Park. I have heard Ocho Rios has that to offer. Is it any good? How does it compare to the one @ Chankanaab in Cozumel?

My husband and myself did the dolphin swim in Ochio Rios two years ago. I really really enjoyed it but there really wasnt much interaction. We had to line up and touching the dolphin meant allowing it to swim by us with our hand extended. The dolphin did trick and such infont of us, then we got to hold her for a moment which was amazing. Got our picture taken with the animal kissing us. In order for it to leave you MUST kiss it back. It must really have loved my hubby cause he had to kiss it 4 times. It was hilarious she kept coming back for more! I did find it rather expensive though, we booked with the cruise line and paid $300 total for the both of us. In Cozumel it was $99. We bought a video, which I though at that price it should have been included in the price! Have fun.

Default Dolphin Swim

Are you saying that in the Dolphin Swim in Ocho Rios you did not actually get to swim with the dolphins, like holding their fin and them pulling you? Sounds like you only got to touch and kiss the dolphins which in Cozumel is called the Dolphin Encounter not Dolphin Swim. Just want to Compare Apples To Apples. Did you do a Dolphin Encounter in Ocho Rios? Or Dolphin Swim? If you did a Dolphin Swim in Ocho Rios for $130.00 for what you did with the dolphins it sounds like a rip off. Thanks for your response. I hope I don't sound insulting.

No you are not sound insulting, we did the dolphin swim not the encounter, the other pool that did the encounter barely did anything with the dolphins....but NO we did not get pulled in the water whatso ever. I kind of thought that is what we got to do too. The only touching we did was lining up, then we held her in pairs, me at the head and my husband at her midsection. then she did tricks and such like dancing and singing, then the kiss....about a half and hour with the creature and you were out of the water. It was nice but for the price we paid not worth it. We plan on letting our kids do it on our cruise but this time in Bahamas. We payed $150pp to do the swim in Jamacia. Others told me doing it in Cozumel or the Bahamas is much better so I will be the judge of that we we leave. Like I stated before, they should have included the video at the price we payed. My hubby did not want to do it, he wanted to watch and snap pics of it and he was stickly forbidden from doing this so he had to pay the 150 to do something he did not even want to do. All in all, we did like it and the experience I can state that I have swam with dolphins!

My girls did the swim with the dolphins in Jamaica last year. They loved it. The pictures of them with the dolphins are the most beautiful pictures I have. The girls were 15 & 17 at the time. They were satisfied but it was expensive($150 per girl). I just sat on this deck and watched. I could barely see them but the Dolphin Encounter was just feet from where I was sitting. Now that's a rip off.
