need excursion advice Nassau, St. Thomas and St Maarten

Going on Carnival Glory -- has anyone been to these destinations? Any advice on what to do, what not to do as far as excursions. Not interested in shopping excursions. Thanks!!

Cheryl: couple of personal suggestion:
Nassau - Aquarium at Atlantis Resort Casino - do it on your own, don't bother with a ships excursion, just take a cab either land or water over to Paradise Island and Atlantis - the aquarium is quite amazing.
IFyou want to do the beach - i would suggest booking the ships excursion to Blue Lagoon.
St.Thomas - Hit the beaches!!! there are some beautiful beaches on St. Thomas proper and also some gorgeous beaches over on St. John Island.
go to www.vinow.com. We like to go over to St. John in the morning, get in some beach and snorkeling time, then we will come back to either Havensight or wander around downtowan and do some shopping. Make the time to take the Paradise Point Tramway - you can walk to the tram from the pier.- St. Thomas you can also do on your own.
St. Maarten - again hit the beaches! - Orient is the most popular (one section is clothing optional. Lots of good restaurants on the beach. Dawn beach is also very nice, a bit more low-keyed.We have also done the Golden Eagle Catamaran sail - what a blast, and gorgeous scenery. Another really fun excursion is the America's Cup Sailing Regatta - you get to sail on a racing sailing yacht in an actual race. St. Maarten has some really good shopping.

We saw the America's Cup Regatta excursion while in St. Maarten and vowed we would do it next time! Some of our fellow Glory cruisers said it was amazing.

We went to Orient Beach in St. Maarten and loved it...

Depends on what kind of stuff floats your boat, but if you like local history, I recommend Queen's Staircase (walking distance from the port) and Fort Fincastle (at the top of Queen's Staircase). We also did a glass bottom boat and tour of the harbor in Nassau that we liked.
