They charge you per minute when in the internet cafe onboard, usually anywhere from .50 to .75 a minute, so it does add up quickly. You can also find internet cafe's in most ports, and most cases, very close to the pier. You can get on the internet for around $5.00 per hour, so you may want to consider doing that. They almost all have aol software, so if you are an aol subscriber, its very easy to use and read/send e-mails. If not, you can get a hotmail account and use that too.
