I am Confussed...Playa del Carmen port condition????

We are going on the Conquest on Dec. 4th, was told by our Carnival rep that Cozumel will be replaced by Playa del Carmen ...... BUT I believe that Playa del Carmen was severly damaged by Wilma..... Has anyone been to the port of Playa del Carmen after hurricane Wilma..????

Accordning to all the things I have read Costa Maya wasn't affected (damaged) by Hurricane Wilma and are at 100% operations and have continued to receive ships there.

Playa Del Carmen is a tender port. Some ships dock at Calica and you can do a taxi or shuttle into Playa Del Carmen. It is about a ten minute trip. Calica is nothing more than a gravel pit but just outside of it there is short access to Tulum, Playa, Xcaret (eco-park) and Chichen Itza.

There is also ferry service to Cozumel: If that is available at the time of your cruise.
