Hi there,

I'm on the Carnival conquest that was supposed to be out of New Orleans now it's out of Galveston, where do I fly into now from Detroit? And how do I get the port from the airport, I'm flying in the day before, where is a good place to stay?

Hi Adamken, There are several good places to stay in Galveston. Go to Galveston.com. Others on here can tell you about the differences in Houston to fly too. We have several threads on Conquest. If you have other questions, let us know. When is your cruise?

I have been looking into this as well - Galveston Limousine (.com) will get you from George Bush IA for $35 pp, or Hobby for $30 pp. It's anywhere from a 35 to 55 minute drive - depending on traffic. I thought that was pretty good. The price for service from Vancouver Airport to the cruise pier (a 15 minute drive was $26 pp)

Galveston looks like a great place - I'm getting really excited -only 123 days to go

Last month we flew into Hobby and stayed at the Springhill Suites by Marriott near the airport. It was a nice hotel, shuttle picked us up at the airport, also took us to dinner. You can use the shuttle anywhere within a 5mile radius of the hotel. They also offer a full free breakfast.

We used Extreme Elegance Limo Service and also did so last year. I like them because they picked us up directly at the hotel, whereas the others pick up at the airport only.
