Default Location of Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver BC

My husband and I will be going on the Northbound Alaska cruise in May 2006. We have reservations at the Pan Pacific Hotel the day before the cruise departs. Is this hotel connected to the pier where the Carnival Spirit leaves from?
Also, what kind of weather can we expect in May?

I know the Hotel is right by one pier, but there is also another pier, find out which pier you will be at. The hotel is at Canandian Place and the other pier is Ballantyne

The Pan Pacific IS connected to the port, Canada Place, where we have seen 4 ships docked at one time. You can actually walk around the whole perimeter see each ship close up. They are about 50 feet away. You walk inside the building which is the convention center, there is a Starbucks and the lobby area for the Pan Pacific. Fellow cruisers who have stayed there say that on the morning of your cruise, you call and have the bell hop pick up your luggage and they take it directly to your ship for you. All you are responsible for is your carry on. It would be cool to cruise from there once. We have been to Ballantyne twice and it is a few block to the left of Canada Place. Enjoy!

The Pan Pacific is right at the cruiseship terminal and it is a fabulous place to sail from. If you are coming in the night before you are in a perfect spot to explore Vancouver. Stanley Park is close, as is English Bay, Robson Street, Chinatown etc etc.
I didn't mention Gastown, whilst you are very close I feel that the area has gone down in my estimation and really not worth the walk, you are far better to explore the rest of Vancouver and I'm sure you will be hooked for life!!!!!!

Hi, Just wanted to add that Ballantyne Pier is not that close to the Canada Place pier, you will have to take a taxi.
I sure hope you get to dock at C.Place-it is a very picturesque area.
Have a great cruise!
