Dinner Dress - Carnival Legend

I've never been on a cruise before, and I was wondering what I am supposed to wear for dinner? I've heard everything from cocktail dresses to some more formal evenings. We are going on a Western Carribean Cruise (Carnival Legend 19-27 December, 2005) Anything would be helpful. Thanks!

Tami,
There will be 2 formal nights on your cruise. You'll see ladies in everything from cocktail dresses to full length gowns.

The other nights are casual. Just no shorts and tank tops in the dining room

Day time wear is ultra casual... bathing suits, coverups, short and tanks. Whatever you like.

Your cruise will have two formal nights...the rest casual. On the "formal nights", you don't have to wear a beaded cocktail gown [unless you want to]. Wear what you'd wear to a job interview/managerial position.

Nice dress/pantsuit. That sort of thing.

The casual days....dress as you would for work/a visit to a casual restaurant.

Thanks Luanne, I'm hoping to. This is the first "real" vacation for us in years. With all of the children; different work and play schedules, this is the first time for us to get away....I'm siked!
