Costa Maya Beaches

I am going to be going to Costa Maya on the Carnival Liberty 11/26/05 (with a couple of thousand other people I am sure). I am still confused about what beach to go to. My group would like the least rowdy and least crowded beach. Most of the information I seem to have suggests that Tequila Beach and Pez Quadro are pretty rowdy. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello cruisehead, we are on the same cruise. Today we are Single Digit Midgets!!!! In fact, we fly out a week from today! We have been to Cozumel a few times and we were planning to try Paradise Beach until the change to Costa Maya. According to the info from another cruise board, there will be 3 ships in port that day so it might be a little crowded.

We have a group discussion on the cruise board with over 50 signed up for a Meet and Mingle. We have to organize it ourselves since CCL doesn't sponsor them. If you would like more info, click on my name and email me.

I am having the same problem trying to decide whether to do a place in Mahahual or just go to Uvero Beach. Comments on either location would be appreciated. 8)

I can highly recommend Uvero Beach. It is a 25min motor coach
ride from the pier. All the staff are very friendly. This beach has
running water restrooms, white sand, lounge chairs, umbrellas,
shady palm trees, great drinks, beautiful water, a shopping area,
restaurant, a pier, and plenty of equipment for rental if you want
to snorkel, paddleboat, etc. There are a lot of people around, however
you can find your own quiet area. They use an ice company so you can
have the drinks without fear of having problems. We were at Uvero
Beach in Sept of 2004. We stayed for 4 hours, but it seemed like only
a few minutes. Carnival offers a shoretour for this beach with transportation and open bar. This shoretour is a good bargain and I
would love to go to Costa Maya again just to visit Uvero Beach. After
returning from the beach you can shop, swim, and walk around the
pier shopping area. Have a great time.
