Spirit-Class ships are Carnival Spirit, Carnival Pride, Carnival Legend and Carnival Miracle.
Just booked Miracle for 6/4/06, if you are looking for balconies try to get their 8C, 8E, 8G or 8I class stateroom. They have what Carnival calls 'extended balconies' which are 50% larger than their standard balconies. I haven't heard what the square footage is but when it comes to balconies, bigger is always better.
With a selection of ships like this, theres no wrong answers. Guess it comes down to, 1) what port is closer to you, 2) Ports of call, 3)and the date of sailings.( if you only have certain dates you can sail )

Go to the photo galleries and look for my pics of the Miracle (Dorothy). We had an 8E extended balcony and I have several shots of it.
A little tidbit - in my review I noted that although the balcony is 50% bigger, it's deeper, but not any wider than a regular balcony. It has a slanted (you'll see in the pics) glass under the railing, so your toes get a little more room, but you can't put an extra chair out or anything.
The Miracle is a beautiful ship and you can never go wrong with a balcony!
