Default New Pics - Costa Maya, Grand Cayman, Inspiration

Just posted a few pictures from our 11/26 cruise on Carnival Inspiration - ports included Costa Maya (instead of Cozumel) and Grand Cayman.

I thought Costa Maya was beautiful. You can enjoy the beach and a pool right at the pier for free. Lots of shopping available without having to go too far. Also, if you want something a little more exotic, we took the Carnival "Jungle Beach Break" excursion to Uvero beach and couldn't have been more pleased! Not crowed at all even with three ships in port. We snorkeled the entire day finding large conch shells, star fish bigger than your hand, tons of fish in water never deeper than 5 foot. It also included an open bar... After you got there you good parasail, or rent other water sports items. Very nice.

Shopping at the pier was fun...price haggling takes a little getting use to but lots of fun. First shop around and check to see if prices are actually marked...then you won't over pay when you find the one you want.

Any chances of you putting up more pictures of the ship itself?

Consider it done! We still have other pictures to be developed - these are from my digital camera and I've promised DH not to post any pictures with him in them...

I thought the ship was beautiful - some have thought it was tacky with it's bold colors and designs but it's a FANTASY class and it's playful. At night the grand atrium has lights that go through a cycle of changing colors.

Being our first cruise - we were unsure what to expect...we are not "high maintenance" folks and just wanted something fun, safe and different. We were not disappointed!

Thanks Jeff and Sheryl.

The Atrium dosn't look as bad as the older ships?

Thanks JS for sharing your pics. Sounds like you had a wonderful cruise and vacation. If you have anymore, please post them. Also if you write a review I'd love to read it. The wife and I loved the Inspiration

I love reading about cruises and looking at the photo gallery from time to time. Watching ships sail away on the web cams on Sunday evening. It helps to calm the cruise withdrawals syndrome, between cruises.
Think I'm hooked

Happy sailing;
David

JS

Glad to see you had a great time! I just love the Inspiration. She's one of my favorite ships.

I saw from you post on another board that you enjoyed staying at the Wynham. Did it look like it had been refurbished at all? When I stayed there in October the room we had was clean, but worn, although the public areas were very well done. I agree that the service there is fantastic and the food is very good, just thought the rooms could use an overhaul (or at least the one we had).
