We are back & ready to go again..... Had a great time, also had our only daughter with us & was a treat for me (daddy & daughter time)..... Everything was great as it was in 2003.... Got on board quickly after parking at the EZ-Park.... We arrived around 2 PM at the parking lot & was on board just after 2:45 (there were NO lines)...... We did the fine dining every night, it was great...... Cozumel was tendered in since the dock was blown apart, no problem on the tender though..... All we did was shopping, no tours....... Probably will try the Carnival Glory, would like to visit the Eastern caribian.....

Glad you had fun! I"ve been on the Conquest one time and plan on going back in 2007. I'm also going on the Glory in 4 months -- looks like great minds think alike, huh! And...we also bring our daughter and enjoy the time with her (she is 17 now and doesn't go to all those teen things either...but sticks with us as unusual as that may seem). What excursions did you go on? How were the islands since the hurricanes??
Cozumel was OK except the striped trees & palms..... Some holes still in side walks & streets but should be repaired by the time you get there.... The covered pier was stripped of its long building so you will be tendered in.... We didn't do any tours, just like to shop & watch the natives.... The Conquest will be moved back to New Orleans in 2007 but they didn't say what month.... What Glory cruise (port of calls) are you going on, believe that they offer 2 different routes....

OK I will try.... If you are coming in by car as we did try for a 2 PM time to get to the terminal, there is NO lines to deal with & you will be cheerful when getting on board.... You enter into the room (Atrium) that I call the piano bar room, this where the glass elvators are (great meeting place).... Comfortable couchs & chairs to relax or just people watch.... Shops just above & the main theator is just foward..... As we are older we prefered the back (stern...Aft) Lido deck for wave watching (2- hot tubs & pool).... 24-7 pizza is also at this location.... We didn't spend much time in the casino (donated $2.00) as we don't smoke...... Our 22 year old daughter had a BLAST as she found some boys (roosters) that bought her drinks.... We also liked to drink hot chocalate (free) in the buffet dining room after the buffet line closed down, you can set in a cushioned chair next to window & read or play cards..... If this is your first cruise then be prepared to be LOST & overwhelmed at first, they will give you a little fold-out map of the ship that you can mark the location of your cabin & other hot spots..... Don't miss the Captians greetings night where the drinks are FREE for almost an hour (be sure to tip & the drinks will flow).....We had an inside cabin (8403) which was nice, be sure to call if you have any problems as we got FAST service on a clogged shower (10 minutes)...... You have the Fine Dining (2-formal nights) every night which is great as you can meet other folks, the food was excellent..... You can also elect to dine for breakfast & lunch in the Monet dining room, table cloth & all (Monet has an ocean view in back)...... The Degas lounge in aft of Conquest is non-smoking & has a 3-piece band playing so you can dance your heart out...... Try to attend the shows each night as they were also great...... Hope this helps....

We will be going to Nassau, Bahamas, St. Marteen (sp??), and St. Thomas - leaving out of Fort Lauderdale. Can't wait! I have been to all but St. marteen and can't decide which excursion to go on!
As far as the Conquest - you will love her. You will love all the ships! You can be as busy - or as passive as you wish. Its your call! Have fun!!
