I just took my 3rd cruise (RCCL), and am planning for the next one to be back on Carnival. I've only been only older, smaller ships, and am anxious to go on a newer ship for the next trip - just to get a taste of what the older/smaller ships are missing . Any suggestions on a good CCL ship to try next? Has to sail out of Florida and can be up to 7 days. Any favorites for you guys?
Sovereign of the Seas - May 2001
Carnival Fascination - August 2003
Sovereign of the Seas - December 2005
Mariner of the Seas - September 2008
Monarch of the Seas - December 2010 Still to come: NCL Epic - March 2013
We just got back from the Legend. It is our favorite CCL ship. Big enough for all the bells and whistles, small enough to get around easily. Food was the best we've had on a CCL ship. We enjoy having a private balcony so we also liked the Triumph. We were on the Celebration a few yrs ago but it is older and didn't have as many balcony rooms. Still all were nice.
Wife and I have been on the Glory 3 times. Latest one was Oct. Each one was better than the one before. If you want a newer ship with great food and service, do yourself a favor and try the Glory. It sails out of Port Canaveral and is real easy to get to. Enjoy! Denny
I was on the Carnival Valor last year and it was fabulous. Any of the Conquest-class ships (Carnival Glory, Carnival Valor, and Carnival Liberty during the winter months) and the Spirit-class ships (Carnival Miracle and Carnival Legend during the winter months) would be excellent choices. The two Destiny class ships in Florida (Canrival Victory and Carnival Triumph in the winter months) are also newer, but without all the bells and whistles of their newer cousins.
I'm TomS, and I approved this message.
Many people including us like the Spirit Class ships. The Conquest class are also really nice and I can highly recommend the Glory as I know both the CD and ACD very well and considered them both CCL best and most entertaining. The shows on that ship were two of the best ships productions I have seen so far and I have done most CCL ships. Mark Price and 'Wee Jimmy' are well worth going on this ship alone!
We really like the Elation but that's mostly because that was our first cruise. It is a smaller class ship. As for the larger ships, I think all the reviews for the Liberty have been mostly favorable so far. New is good!!
I've had wonderful cruises on Valor and Glory. But any cruises aboard these newer ships should be a dlight. You'll find many balcony cabins, lots more venus for entertainment and excellent food. The cabins are also larger. The ships also have the highest quality nightlife.
I think Carnival gives the biggest bank for the money.
I love both the Miracle (spirit class) and the Liberty (conquest class) I think you can't go wrong with ships in either class. I do think it was easier to get around the Miracle but the Liberty had so many public rooms, I never got to see them all! I just have to cruise on her again sometime!
Well you have plenty of options to choose from. Personally I didn't care for the Legend; I found the atrium shockingly dark and the urns everywhere... Really liked Valor and the food and entertainment was outstanding. We hope to go on Liberty next year.
We were on the Celebration this year and loved it so we wanted to try the newer ship so we booked the Glory for the Eastern Carribean May 13-06 for the 7 nights so come on and join us
I think its going to be an awesome vacation.
