I was wondering about my room on the Carnival Triumph Feb 18 2006 my wife and I have a balcony room on deck 6 (upper) and would to know if noise would be a problem.
I hated my AFT cabin!!!!!!!! We were on the 9th deck and someone vomited from 10th deck down on the Glory. I will never book an aft cabin again. Also the pipes from the pool were running right behind our headboard so every time they drained the pool it was a noisy banging water sound behind the wall. Plus the room smelled like cigarette smoke and our neighbors kept looking around the dividers and looking onto our deck!!!! Bad bad bad!!!! I do love balcony cabins though. I usually book midship balcony... but see for yourself what you prefer. Some people really like aft cabins but they weren't for us. Good luck! Kristen
Hey..we just booked our 1st aft. We have had balconies but this time booked an aft. I read all the pro's and con's and then just decided to go for it....I think it would be hard to be miserable on a cruise... Karyn
We sailed on the Glory in Aug 2006 and our AFT Cabin #6489 was absolutely the best. I can't think of any negatives associated with these types of cabins other than the balcony area had a tendency to get a little hot while the ship wasn't moving. As for noise or any other irritating sounds, there were none. Plus, with a short walk to the elevators or stairs we were only a couple decks from the AFT dining areas. The bottom line is that we were extremely pleased with our choice of the AFT cabin. I hope that you will enjoy your experience is just as pleasant.

Oooooooooops, I'm sorry Gudhns ..... you asked about some advice. Here is the best that I can offer. Limit your time in the Casino, It's one of my favorite spots on the ship. Between the slots and black jack, I would always get ahead, however, I have a tendency to stay there too long and end up givng everything that I won plus a little extra to back to Carnival. . Regardless of my bad gambling habits, I'd do it all over again.
