Default carnival glory questions and advice?

I will be going on my first cruise in February(carnival Glory). I just wanted some advice on things to do on the glory. I heard the comedy show is usually good and I was wondering if you had to book it in advance. Also needed advice on which beaches to go to in st. thomas and St. Maarten. Any advice or suggestions would be grealty appreciated..

Was on the Glory 3 weeks ago (Western Caribbean), did the Glory Eastern Nov. 04. Comedy show is good, open seating, no reservations required, Great Casino, & other shows during the week. Obviously the food was wonderul, don't miss the Chocolate buffet (last day) from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m., I also tried the spa for the first time last month, had a great massage one of the days at sea. The piano bar/sing along is fun to hit after dinner. St Thomas, book the Trunk bay shore excursion, will never see more clear water, great for snorkeling, nice free beach in St Maarten near the port. Have fun

If you don't want to spend a lot of time going over to St. Johns from St. Thomas, you can get a cab to Meagans Bay, nice beach, but no good snorkeling. In St. Maarten, you can also get a cab and go over to Orient Beach, we really enjoyed it, lots of water activities and plenty of restaurants/bars.

We did the Glory in September. Be sure to catch the Rock & Roll type show in one of the smaller lounges - I believe it's the 1st nite. We really enjoyed it. We like to take advantage of room service, especially late at night. Of course there is also Pizza and ice cream available practically all the time! If you like seafood, it's on the upper floor of the buffet area during meal times. We don't drink alcohol so found the soda card a good buy (we both used the same one). As this is your first cruise, you are going to LOVE everything!
