Default Orlando to Port Canaveral

We are thinking of booking on the Glory in April. Can someone let me know the best way to get from the airport in Orlando to the port. I understand it is 50 or so miles away. Thanks

You have several options. You can use he cruiseline transfer, taxi, limo, or rental car. I can't give many details, because I live in Orlando and we just drive to the port, but I know that a limo will run you about $150 one way including tip and I have heard from others that there is a rental car location near the port. Maybe others can confirm that for you. I would also visit the Orlando Airport website to see if there are private shuttle companies that make regualr runs - Mears Transportation might.

There are a number of shuttles which run from Orlando to Port C. My niece and nephew just took one last month for $40 one way - sorry don't know the name, but I would check into Mears Transportation.

Hopefully you are able to fly in the day before. If so, I would rent a car from Budget and drive the 50 miles to Cocoa Beach. It's a very easy ride and the return the next day is only 1/4 mile south of the port and they have a free port shuttle too. A hotel recommendation would be the Hampton Inn on A1A, only 3 miles from the port. They offer a continental breakfast, have a nice pool and also a walkway to the beach.

If you're flying in the same day, then I would just take the Carnival transfers at the airport.

We are going in April and are flying in the day before. We are staying at a hotel close by in Orlando for the night as we do not arrive until 8:30pm. There is a shuttle from airport to the hotel, so we can catch it the next a.m. back to the airport and take the transfer from carnival (which was only about 25 bucks if I remember right) to the ship. We have a transfer back also to the airport the day we get home to catch our flight.

We did the same thing last february...stayed near the airport since we got in late with a free shuttle from airport to hotel...then in the morning took the free shuttle again and hopped on the carnival transfer...i forget how much it is though....

We went in September on the Glory. I called Art's Shuttle and it was around $65 to hotel in Cocoa Beach. In the morning we took a cab to the port, about $10

Thanks everone. I checked out the Carnival transfer (shuttle) you mentioned and it does seem the best option. It is only $50.00 per person round trip. Thanks again and Happy Sailing

Hi there, we are leaving on a cruise in april - I did a search and found a company that is much more personable than a shuttle. It is 180 round trip and he will stop for you if you need, and gave lots of good advice. Better than the 50 pp with Carnival and dealing with all of the crowds getting on various shuttles. Here is the web site

We are going with Ed Korgan - but there are others
