Default Too many Juneau excursions?

Our cruise schedule indicates that we will be in Juneau for one full day...from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. If we sign up to take Captain Larry's 3 1/2 hour whale watching trip in the morning, would it be too much to also try to fit in a trip (by bus) to Mendenhall Glacier in the afternoon? I don't have a clue how long we would spend at the glacier, so I'm not sure if two excursions in one day is feasible. Thank you very much for your help!

I think you could do that easily enough. You might also want to consider a helicopter trip to the glacier. When we did it a few years ago, they fly you up, drop you off ON the glacier and you spend about half an hour to 45 minutes there, hiking with a guide, while they go get another load. Then they fly you back. They do about 5 choppers at a time. It was spectacular
Landlocked in Denver, but cruisin every chance we get.

i have gone with capt.larry 2 times and have seen many orka and humpback whales as well as seals and eagles. you will really enjoy this tour and have a great time. depending on the time of your whale tour you can catch a bus that runs every 1/2 hr to the glacier. i think it is a blue bus that picks up and drops off at the dock. it is $5 each way. you get on and off at your descresion. it is well worth the money if you can fit it into your port time time. and dont forget to get a real alaskan beer at the red dog saloon. it is a great place to stop and have a cool one.

have a great trip.
