So what do we do about the formal night? We are going on the Destiny in August, I'm so excited. Anyway, the most I can get him to wear is something like this: http://www.internationalmale.com/pro...=&Au=RollupKey
I think the real problem though is him wearing a tie. Can he get away without one on formal night or am I going to have to fight him to wear a tie?
On Carnival, he could get in the formal night wearing a jock strap and spatz. It seems Carnivals REAL definition of formal is anything, as long as its not shorts.

The Cruise Guy is so correct Free 72! Here I am, lugging a suit on the plane and taxis to wear on the formal nights and I look around and see some of the guys wearing golf shirts or dress shirts with no ties. 90% of the guys are looking good in their suits or sport coats, but its the other 10% or so. I don't like suits either but it does not kill me to wear it. Right after dinner, I get changed and then head to watch the entertainment.
No jock strap for me either. Never had a plate crash right on me there yet.

Free72 - could you get him to wear a mandarin or collar-less dress shirt? They can be very dressy,my son wore one with his tux to his senior prom, and he looked very snazzy.
If he's not dressing for you now as a boyfriend, watch out!
