Default St. Maarten Excursions

I read about the Lord Sheffield Tall boat excursion (http://lordsheffield.com) on several boards (not on Carnival's offerings). Has anyone taken this one? Any comments about it - positive or negative? We'll probably only book one excursion and use the rest of our time to relax and shop on the other islands. Would love some input.

I'm not familiar with that tour. I know one of the most popular excursions in St Mart is the America's sailing tour.

I find St Mart such an easy island to do on your own, I've never done organized tours there.

If other people loved it, I recommend checking into it. The Dutch side of the island where the ship docks is very boring, I think. I recommend heading for St. Martin (the French side), where there is fun shopping and nice restaurants. Local vans park right outside the pier and it's much cheaper taking one of these vs. buying a Carnival excursion to do the same thing.

Thanks for your help. After reading some reviews and corresponding with the company, we went ahead and booked it. Hopefully it will be worthwhile! We'll let you all know how it was! 19 more days until we sail on the Glory!!!

Default Golden Eagle Cattamaran

I enjoyed the Golden Eagle Catamaran excursion in St. Maerten. We did the afternoon trip. It was very fun and adventurous to me. We did some drinking and dancing. The snorkeling was great, never did that before, want to again for sure. And the guys and the ladies that work on the excursion were a blast. Very cute guys! They broke out the champagne after we left the beach where we went snorkeling or just to laze around. They also served a very big nice submarine sandwiches, which were cut down into individual servings. GREAT TIME

I agree 100%. Was a great time. Just a word of advice...if they're mixing rum punches...DO NOT ask the person mixing them for a "stronger one". I did and got 99% rum with a splash of fruit juice. Felt real good after that excursion...that's for sure

Also really enjoyed the Golden Eagle catamaran tour. We did the morning tour which then gave us the rest of the afternoon to do as we pleased.
