Default belize cave tubing

Does anyone know how deep the river is that you cave tube in, in Belize?

My BF doesnt swim, so it has to be something he can see the bottom and still touch.

Thank in advance

Michele

Mrs Kuki did the cave tubing in Belize (while I went golfing). I'm not sure of the depth, but she did say the entire "trip" was very calm, and they were given life vests.

Hey, he will be just fine! Depending on the rain in Belize, the water will be deeper or shallow - no one can really tell. I fell off one time and touched bottom -- it is perfectly safe and worth going ! It is an awesome tour! The only thing is it is a long hhike to the cave and at the time, it rained and was extremely slippery. Well, I was the first one to fall and twist my foot which hurt for 5 months after the fact, but didn't stop me. I would do it again in a heartbeat! They do have life vest IF you want them and guides to guide you along the way. Its a nice smooth calm float. Enjoy!

My kids (6 & 9) and took the cave tubing trip in 2004. The max. depth was waste deep. Most of the river is very shallow. It was a GREAT trip!

Default no vests?

so.... you can choose not to wear a life vest when you go tubing? that's weird. was your excursion through carnival or a private company? i wonder if they all do that. those of us with bigger chests sometimes have a hard time getting the vests to fit right. ;-)
