Default Cruised out of Miami Port recently??

Just wondering if all the talk about the doors of the terminal not
opening until 12:00 are true. Usually we arrive between 11:00
and 11:30 without a problem. If this 12:00 (new rule) is correct,
we need to plan to be at the port a little later. Thanks for all
your help.
Happy Sailing...............only 27 days until we sail the Victory!! 8)

Cruisingbears.....

We were at the Miami Port in October. We met with the Carnival rep at the Ft. Lauderdale airport at about 10:30am. With the 1/2 hour drive to Miami, we got to the dock around 11. We were on the ship by 12:00, there were still people from the previous cruise on the ship, and our room wasn't ready yet, but they let us put our things in there. I don't know if things have changed since, but this is how it went for us. Good luck!

Enjoy Your Cruise!!!!!!!

Between what I read on the Carnival site (it's new) about how passengers should not arrive early for their cruise AND my experience in December taking my niece and nephew for their cruise on the Fantasy, I'd venture to guess things might be changing.

They waited out in front of the terminal (which I thought was sooo strange at the time - until I read the blurp on the website) until almost 12:45. The doors opened and SWOOSH everyone went right in, but there was no hanging around in the lobby waiting this time.

We were just there in January and we got to the port about 10:30, waited in a short line to get our cards, went through security and waited about an hour or so to get on the ship. We were on by about 12:30.

I'm assuming the part I was in was the actual terminal, once they let us through it was a long walk to the ship, but we didn't have to wait outside or anything before that.
