Default Questions about Elation and shore excursions

Hi all:

I am getting ready to go on my second cruise on the Carnival Elation; the Sensation got me hooked! Does anyone know if the Elation has a miniature golf course like some of the other Fantasy class ships? If anyone has sailed recently, was there a pool band?

One other question, how far out does the cruise line usually post the available excursions on their website? We are eight weeks out and there are only two excursions listed for Progresso and Cozumel. When I went on the Sensation last year, it seemed like there were quite a few to choose from.

I did not see a golf course when I last went and the excursions are on the company website.

Brittany, I sailed the Elation last week and there is not a miniture golf course. On the Carnival website there were several excursions to choose from although not as many as in the past. Progresso is not a great port in my opinion. We rented a car for $65.00 and drove to Merida. There were lots of interseting sights there and good shopping away from most of the other tourists.
Cozumel is damaged badly and that coupled with the time of year cut down on the amount of excursions. We took a cab to Paradise beach and enjoyed good food and a nice beach. The beaches are different now than before and will not be the way they were for a long time if ever.
The tender system worked well here, but the last one leaves at 2:30 so not much time to browse around.
Enjoy your cruise!
Oh yeah, there is a house band called Blood Power Band. You MUST go listen to them whenever you can. They are great.

Thanks for the info. I look forward to listening to the house band. Sounds like Merida is the way to go in Progresso.
