Default Document Question concerning dinner time????

Just received documents and no where in them states what dinner time we got?? When do you find out if you got the seating you requested? Just curious how Carnival does it since we've never cruised with them before. Thank you!

There will be a dining reservation card waiting for you in your cabin. Afraid you don't know your assignement until you get there.

If there's a problem with your assignment, find out where the Maitre D is, and go see him right away.

Unless they've changed things recently, you will find out your dining assignment (time and dining room) once you check in and get your sail and sign card (it will be right on your card). If you wish to change your dining time, you can request a change from the maitre-d once you board the ship (there will be a set time and place, listed in the ships newspaper, "caper", or just ask the information desk). Depending on how many people in your party and what time you are requesting, you may or may not be able to change your assignment. Hopefully, you'll get what you want to begin with.

Have a great cruise!

When you get to the terminal and recieve your sail and sign card, the time and dinning room name will be on it. If it is not what you want, they can usually change it by the second night. For some reason it seems people do not make it back to the dinning rooms after the first night.

What about seating assignments in the Dining Room? I remember a while back having assigned seats. I am cruising the Valor on 2-12 with a few friends, but we made our reservations separately. I want to make sure we are seated together at Dinner.

Thanks,

-Ron

If you didn't have your TA link your booking numbers, then more than likely you won't have same table assignments and will have to go to the dining room as soon as you embark and ask the Matre D to see what he can do. Good luck.

I had her link our booking numbers. I booked mine directly through Carnival, and the other folks used a TA. Just wondering how "for sure" that is. I just booked my cruise less than 2 weeks ago, and we leave 2-12.
They have been booked over 6 months.

Thanks,
Ron

As far as what I have always been told, all the TA and Carnival reps can do is REQUEST preferences when it comes to dining room details. However, it is my sense that most requests are granted. If you think about it, it really would be quite impossible to guarantee absoulutley everyone thier preffered time, table size, and table location. I bet it would just never add up right

Having said that, I must admit, even though I understand why they can't promise anything, I have a bit of anxiety over that part of the cruise. When we get our cards when we embark I just pray they got it right. We havn't yet had to go to the Maitre D person but I would feel loathe to hinge my dining preferences on someone else's discretion. It just feels odd. I mean, to be two adults on a once-a-year vacation and have anyone else deny you the personal choice of eating when you usually eat ("NO! You MUST eat at 6pm....and that's final!) just seems so crappy!
