Default Fun Pass Question?

I am trying to complete my Fun Pass online. I am using my passport as ID, what do you fill in for "CITY OF ISSUANCE"???? It's the block after the "COUNTRY" line.

I think your passport should say on the inside cover where it was issued (ie: I live in NJ and I'm pretty sure mine was issued in Philadelphia -I don't have it in front of me).
Good Luck and Happy Cruising!

Unless I am competely blind, I don't see it.
I had checked on the status of the passport a few weeks ago,( I just rec'd the passport this past week) and I think the email said it was in process in New Hampshire. If I put in New Hampshire and that is not correct, will anything be said about it when we are ready to board our ship?

We put the city of the courthouse on ours where we went and applied for the passport. We had no idea where they sent it to or where the actual passport came from.

Sounds like a plan to me! HAHA. We applied at the Post Office, so I'm just going to put the city where the post office is located.
Thanks for your help!

Passports issued previously had the City listed. We got our passports this past year and were told they no longer list the issuing City on the passport. I just called the US Govt. Passport 1-800 number (there's a link on Carnival's website) and they gave me the issuing City. If your passport # begins with 405 it was issued from the New Orleans office.

On my new passport...underneath the word "Authority", it says United States and then underneath this is says Department of State. I don't think it has where the passport was issued. Maybe Carnival needs to update their Fun Pass directions, since this is no longer written on the passport.
I did put the location of the Post Office where we applied and the Fun Pass said it was complete and I was able to print. But I suspect that you could type in anything and the system would take it.
My passport number began with 215, so apparently our passport was not issued in New Orleans.
Should I call the Toll free number that someone listed and find out the exact issuing location, or do you think I'm ok?
Sure would hate to get to Vancouver and not be able to get on that ship...and I would especially hate to tell my husband that he wasn't going to go on his dream vacation to Alaska. It would be a LONG way back to Virginia, husband would be on plane and I would have to hitchhike back!!!!!

Here's the toll free # for the Passport office if you need it.

Telephone Number: 1-877-4USA-PPT (1-877-487-2778)

Default Fun Passes

The fun passes save a lot of time at check it.

Don't worry if you do not have everything filled in on the fun pass. When you reach the port and go to the check in counter they will look at your passport again. At boarding you need your passport, a charge card (that you can put your tips on), and your cruise documents.
Have a wonderful cruise!

Yes, your place of issuance is located under the word "Authority". Don't worry if the place you find there doesn't make sense (i.e. you live in Illinois but is says it was issued in Charleston and you've never even been to Charleston). I hear they do this to make it more difficult to forge docs. There is a secret method to thier madness.

I encountered the same problem becouse my passport lists "national passport center" under authority. Well.... THATS what I put and it printed. I will however get on the phone in order to get into the faster line at check-in.

No need to get on the phone. That's what I've put on my Funpass the last three CCL cruises. No problems. If you're curious....I believe it's in Washington DC. But National Passport Center is sufficient

Judy, the Fun Pass is not used by US Citizens only, in our European passports we do have a city of issuance.
Hitchhiking back is not a good idea
Have a great cruise!

Mine says Boston....I give Carnival and Royal Carribean credit for their new check-in programs for past passengers.I love the online aspect and it seems to be improving line times at the port.

Our Pass Ports both say "National Passport Center" as well. In the past they always said Miami, so that's what I've always put there, and have not had any problems. I agree that you could probably put anything in that block and it'd go.
See you aboard,
Ken
