Default Our first upgrade :)

It finally happened! This will be our 3rd cruise with Carnival. We booked a 4a gty and have a 7a assigned cabin as of today yay!!!

Anyone ever get one of these obstructed view balconies on Miracle before? Are they terribly obstructed? Can you still lay out there for some sun if you want, or is there a lifeboat there blocking your sun? If it isn't above your head, is it at your feet? Right in the middle?

I am so excited!

I am going to assume you mean a 5A, not 7A. Congrats on the upgrade. I never get upgrades like that, but that is probably because I cruise solo.

Have a great time on your cruise!

Ah, now I see it in my brochure. Never heard of a Cat 7 before...must be only on the Spirit Class ships. My apologies.

Enjoy the upgrade.

Congrats on your upgrade! I am pretty sure that you can sit on your balcony and enjoy the fresh air, but the view ranges from slightly obstructed to almost completely blocked. BUT you are getting a fantanstic upgrade from an inside cabin to a balcony no matter how obstructed it is!!

Enjoy!

That sounds great. I just got the same upgrade on the Pride on Feb. 26 from an inside cabin. I figure anything is better than nothing.
