We're going the Valor on 4/9 and flying in to FLL on 4/8 around 6 p.m. We're also looking for a hotel for Sat. night, pref. in Mia. What is the best way to get to Mia from FLL, a taxi? Or is there a better, or cheaper, way? Also, any suggestions for a hotel for pre-cruise stay? One more thing. Where exactly is the port in Mia, N or S? thx
You can either rent a car and drive to Miami or try a shuttle service, for example Super Shuttle.
As for hotels in Miami, you may want to consider using Priceline, just be sure you state the location you want, if you want to be close to the Port of MIami, you'd need to use downtown MIami and 3 stars.. Here is a link to a good article that explains how to use Priceline:
We are heading into Miami on Friday and are staying North Miami at the Newport Beach Resort.
Good luck with your plans. Let us know if we can help with anything else.

We always fly into Ft. Lauderdale because of the price. Don't know why it is so expensive to fly into Miami. Outside baggage claim is Tri-County Limo; we found them to be the most reasonable for getting to Miami. We sailed Valor last year and they were at the pier waiting for us to take us back to Fll airport.
We are flying into FLL on 4/8 and have made reservations with the TriCounty Express shuttle (www.floridalimo.com) to take us to our hotel. This is the cheapest way I found at $18 per person, however, it is a shared ride service - they also have sedans that cost more, but are prob. cheaper than a taxi, I'm not sure there.
We reserved the Holiday Inn Port of Miami, but I think they are sold out now.
