Default Destiny since the drydock

Has anyone been on the Destiny since the drydock? Looking to possibly cruising on this ship in the near future.

Thanks.

Just got off it 2 weeks ago and was on it a year ago also.
It looked no different to me. They may have changed a few things like where the band plays outside. I asked the crew what they did to the ship and they all laughed and said the drydock was to work on mechanical things like the engine etc.
Like I said nothing looked different to me except they have new bedding which is really comfy.

LJK - Did you have a stateroom or a suite? My understanding is that the suites were rennovated.

I just returned from Destiny. I can't tell you if there's a difference since this was my first time on it. But I thought the suite I was in was very nice. It had just a little repairs around the tub that I could see but then that was ok with me. I'm not picky.

My cabin was 7229. It was perfectly placed IMO. It was a few doors down from the elevators and stairs. Two flights up and I was right at the Solar bar on the Lido deck pool area. I was right down the hall from the laundry room. I didn't do laundry but the ironing board was right there. To the forward area was a pop machine and the ice machine. very important for keeping things chilled.

Your on the opposite side of the ship from where I was but you should be fine. Most of the ports we pull into are on your side of the ship. The only port where we docked on my side of the ship was in Barbados. Destiny sits on Dock 4 in San Juan which is a very short walk from the Old San Juan Sheraton.

We just downloaded pictures last night. I have a couple of my capers saved up but they don't have the excursions on them. Just the daily events on the cruise but I think they do have a phone number on them for shore excursions. I'll have to check. You can go to carnival.com for your cruise and see all of the excursions that are offered at all the ports. You can order them there online which is real nice. We did pretty much everything on our own via research on the internet. The one trip we took through the ship was in Dominica for the rainforest ariel tram. It was great.

Our bed was already put together so I never thought about pulling them apart. I'm sure you can ask the steward to arrange them to how you want.

Pictures should be downloaded and loaded into an album soon. I'll let you know about that. As for the capers. Sorry.. I don't have all of them. my bad but most of the days are structured the same. The shore excursions vary widely in length and time as well as cost. I only booked one so I can only speak to that one. Everything else we did on our own.
