Default U.S. Direct in Canada

Has anyone used the U.S. direct customs clearance in Canada? Does it save time?

Did it on Princess in May 2005, it was great. The Vancouver airport can be a bit congested, checking in and going thru customs. This was great, they staggered the busses, so there was only 1 bus at a time. Went very smooth.
