We are leaving one week from tomorrow !!!!!! I cannot believe it Is it possible to find out how many kids will be on board I realize that this time of year there will be fewer. But the cost waiting one more week or two, between airfare and the cost of the cruise was dramatic. I have a 10-1/2 year old girl and a 13-1.2 year old boy. They are wondering too.
I hope the Camp counselors will let them be together despite there age. they are very close.
What do you think
Depending on how full Camp Carnival is, they may allow your 13 year old to stay with his sister in the younger age group. There will be a meeting the first day to sign up the children and you can ask then. Also, if there aren't many children on this cruise, they may merge the two groups anyway.
Personally, (and you did say "What do you think?") I'd encourage them to try their own age group for at least one day. They'll make lots of new friends!
Have a wonderful cruise!

There should be a good number of kids. There's quite a few schools with that week off (our's is - we leave in 8 days) and it's awfuly close to the canadian vacation week so sometimes there's overlap from early vacations there. Our last cruise was around this time and it was a good amount of kids - enough for fun - not so much that it's chaos.
We are also leaving on the 26th of Feb. on the Conquest. I have a 10 and 5 year old who are out of school that week for Mardi Gras. From what I hear that are quite a few New Orleans families going that week as well. Which boat will you be on?
I like going Mardi Gras because as so many people are coming to New Orleans for Mardi Gras.........we are heading out. The times I have been, there were few children on board because of this - however, with the hurricanes, it may be different this year as there isn't much of a Mardi Gras. Reguardless.........enjoy!
i wish there was a way to find out. i plan my cruises during the school months and i love to go to the more cultural areas ( alaska and new/england canada ) instead of the sun and beach cruises. everyone has the right to be on the ship, but i prefer to NOT be on one that is overcrowded with the little darlings.
