Default Interline discounts are being eliminated

On Carnival for 2006. It seems that Carnival is booking their ships full enough without having to offer this discount...but away it goes.

It is effective March 31, 2006. If this affects you (ie you have a cruise booked or are thinking about booking a cruise) I would contact my TA or PVP to see IF this has any implications for your particular cruise.

My PVP just told me about it and I know it affects UPS and Fed Ex employees. Someone else told me ALL 2006 Interline Carnival cruises.

So be advised.....

Again, talk with your TA or PVP to see how ( or if) this applies to you!

Very Interesting. We have used Interliner a couple of times (military). I checked the website and didn't find any notice regarding this.

Interliner.com

If you're an airline, Fedex, Airborne, UPS employee, retiree or parent, you can enjoy all great discounts we offer in this web site.
and
FOR AIRLINE EMPLOYEES, RETIREES AND PARENTS, ACTIVE MILITARY, RESERVE MILITARY, RETIRED MILITARY AND PARENTS ONLY!!! Of course, companions or anyone sharing a room or cabin also receives the interline/military discount.

Again, the only thing I know for absolutely sure is that it applies to Carnival and UPS and Fed Ex employees. You must book by March 31, 2006 to get the discount.

Airline employees and other cruiselines may or may not be affected.

I have heard "ALL" Interline Discounts for 2006 and then I have heard that Airline Employees are still eligible. So that is just rumor at this point.

I just talked to Carnival and was told that the only people that it effects is the UPS, Fed Ex,DHL and other carrier type companies.

It does not effect airline or military rates ( at least not Delta ).

All of this starts April 1st.

Thanks for the info jrfan1! We've only used them for RCI and got great deals!

What did you use for RCI? Is that the same RCI that is involved with time shares?

I was referring to Royal Caribbean International cruise line not the time shares.

Hey, youngest son would love your "handle" jrfan1! He loves Jr.
You are correct. Only "package" carriers not "human" ones.
We look forward to enjoying your wonderful airline on Saturday, as we head to LA to cruise on the Pride!!

Hubby flew y'all almost every week last year...I am surprised you did not charge him rent because he lived on your planes!!

Don't take this the wrong way but...why should a Fedex, UPS, airline, etc. employee get a discount? I work just as hard as they do, as I am sure my fellow cruisemates do. I work in a shipping department, so does that mean I qualify?
