Booked Again! Pride this time

We just booked again a year out. You'd think we love the waiting. We don't but it is a neccessary evil. Jan 28 /07,hurry on!

New crusier here so I hope this question is't thought of as stupid... Why Is it better to book a long time in advance? Do you receive a better price? Also, will they let you pay on it monthly?

Sorry, I just don't know ... and if I like my 1st cruise I may want to do it again.

Like everybody says, Lady, there are no stupid questions.(stupid answers sometimes). For us booking way ahead works out well for several reasons. We book through Sears Travel here in Canada because we can pay over time with them. It is just charged on our Sears card. Also,while there is no proof,I believe you improve your chances of an upgrade. We were on Valor last month in a suite after booking a 6A guarantee in Mar/05. The cruise line still has to advertise their lowest rates (inside) through the course of the year and as these spots are booked ,earlier bookings are bumped up. Like I said ,no proof, just a theory.

Landlubber, I was wondering how the itinerary of the Eastern Valor was compared to the Western. Did you do much snorkeling on the East.???
We do not go on a cruise for the shopping at Ports; we like the beaches & snorkeling, so we look at Ports with those things to do at them.

Hi Brenda. Thanx for the kudos.We're really looking forward(waaay forward) to it.
We actually enjoyed the eastern side more. We did the helmet dive in St. Thomas and went to the Atlantis in the Bahamas. We did however go to Pinel Is. in St .Maarten and the snorkeling there was excellent. Right off the beach in a very pretty setting.
