Best deck on Valor for cabins

Could someone please help me select the best deck on Valor between Upper or Verandah. I have found a reviewer who said they could hear all sorts of noise from Lido on Verandah deck, and now I am worried that if we choose Upper that we'll hear everything from Promenade's bars, etc. Our rooms we are looking at are more Mid ship. I would prefer to stay on a higher floor versus a lower. Thank you.

I would not worry yourself, i always select a room on the verandah deck and have never heard any noises coming from above.

We just cruised on the Valor (debarked 3/12), first let me say she is simply a gorgeous vessel and you will not be disappointed. We had two cabins on Deck 8 Verandah outside with balconies. We were just below the Lido deck and did hear some noise from chairs being moved, etc. It was nothing really to us, it did not prevent us from sleeping and after the first day or so you hardly notice it at all. I would chose Verandah deck if I were you. I have never stayed on Upper Deck so I cannot comment on whether or not there is noise from the clubs, casino, etc.

We were on Valor in February in cabin 7230 on the Empress deck. It was perfect. With cabins above and below it was very quiet and from the balcony we could see into the bridge. We could even make out the digital readouts on the control panel that displayed the course and speed.I thought that was cool. It was also our first balcony (not the last) and our first chance to see the flying fish and some dolphins.

Always scope out deck plans and for us we always book a deck between two other decks with only (or mostly) cabins; real simple.

What were your cabin numbers? We are booked in 8360 ringht below entrance to buffet. Do you think we will here any noise from below? Did you have an overhang over your balcony from the lido deck above? Did it keep your balcony shadier? Thanks!
