Nassau-Best Beach Area

I'm going with a large group (mostly teens) to Nassau in June. They just want to hang out on the beach (the ship will dock there 2 days). What are the best beach areas, without doing an excusion? Also, what is the cheapest way to get there?

take the bus up to cable beach its onle a buck each way, the are some nice resorts along that beach within walking distance of breezes including the casino.
