Default Cruise Directors - Who are they currently?

I was just wondering who are the cruise directors currently serving on each Carnival ship?

I was just on the Destiny and it was Skip Lyons.
Before that I was on the Glory and it was Shawn Bussey.

Any help? This info can affect my cruise choice.

Thanks

Just curious. How would a CD affect your decision on what cruise to take?

I was kinda wondering that myself. The only thing I can think of is that you like to get very involved in all the activites that the CD plans?

I weigh all aspects of a cruise ahead of time. If John Heald, for example, is CD of a particular ship, and I'm torn between two cruises, that WOULD put that cruise as the front-runner.

I just did the head tilt thing.. hahahaha

What makes him so much better then anyone else? Is he funnier? Does he plan things that you particularly like to do? Sorry so many questions but I was just wondering. I was on Destiny with Skip not too long ago and I guess I just kind of tuned him out. I thought he was funny but didn't think much beyond that.

No.. It wasn't a slam at all ...really. I apologize if you took it that way. I was just curious. I really don't know the difference between one CD and another. I thought people picked cruise for the distinations. Again I apologize if it came across as anything else.

Default WOW....

If a person makes their decision on what cruise to go on by the color of the ship..WHO CARES!!! Such is life...this board got a bit tense and hasty over one question from cruise controlled...cant we all just get along..
Cruise controlled..I only know of two cd. I was on the Victory in October and it was Dana Hodson..SUPERRRRR FUNNY and awesome guy...I just got back today from another cruise on carnival and the CD was Matt Goodwin. He was cool...I was so busy with my daughter I did not have alot of time around the cruise director! But hope that helps...and you go on whatever cruise you want!@!!! bye 4 now

And of course we all have our opinions...I thought Dana was terrible. John Heald is absolutely the best Cruise Director in the Carnival fleet. John is currenlty sailing aboard the Carnival Liberty. Ryan (can't remember last name) is currently on the Valor.

In the first place....Im sure Dina meant no harm to cruisecontrolled. Ive seen many of Dina's posts and she has always been nice and sincere. I, for one, would not have taken that as a "slam". Secondly, does anyone know who the CD is on the Legend? We leave on 4/26.

We were on the Valor for Thanksgiving and the CD was some obnoxious Rebecca LLyewenn. sorry about the spelling of her last name.

If she was the CD on my next cruise, which I hope she isn't, I think I would think twice about getting on the ship. Not really, the CD does not make me really decide the cruise. Who knows she may be better than the next CD that I get.

Take care!

Was on the Valor for the 3/5 sailing, and it was Ryan Fitzgerald...My favorite Cruise Director is Marschalh (sp?) Stanton, and my worst is Dana Hodson...had him on the Victory last year, and what made him even worse was he was not very family friendly!

Default Shocked...

I guess because I am so new to cruising that I am surprised that a few people did not like Dana Hodson...wow. I thought he was funny..and took the time to come up to me and my husband and congratulate us on our wedding. he made us laugh etc. He even called a young kid onto the stage and told kid jokes...and it was great..he was doing knock knocks and the kids in the audience were jumping up and down...I guess thats why I was so surprised but hey...all people are different.
Have a great day all

Whatever happened to Michael Mullane? He was on the Spirit on my first ever cruise nearly two years ago. He was great.

Sorry, I just got a little irritated because I started a topic wanting to know about CDs, and the next poster changes topic and turns it into a interrogation and judgment against my question. Why can't people just be nice and just answer the question?

Josh Riffe is now retired. He was a great guy, maybe not the best CD but an awesome person.

When I was on the trimuph las year, the CD was Stewart Dunn. Every time I heard his voice starting to pitch bingo, art auctions ect, I was wondering how long he could tread water

Fantasy has Big Tex (Jeremy) as Cd and the lovely little Mrs Tx doing the kaioki. Both are very personable and approachable and have a good plan for each sea day. I really enjoyed them.

Was on the Fascination with Steve Cassel and found him arrogant rather than friendly. Maybe it was just a bad day. Now he is on the Holiday.
