Default 14 days until our April 9th Valor sailing

Yes, we are just 2 short weeks away from our cruise and we can hardly wait.

We are packing our bags, however have decided that after having cruised twice already we really shouldn't overpack. Hahaha!

Little worried I may be forgetting something. Anyone have suggestions out there?

We have the bungie cord and magnet for our balcony door, air freshner for the room, travel size wrinkle release, extension/power strip, underwater cameras and money in the bank to cover the sail and sign account.

Have read quite a bit lately about people bringing their own soda on board. I am a Pepsi drinker and in the past have purchased the soda card but for 7 days it will cost me more. Is it o.k. if I brought my own soda on board?

Last year we walked on with 2 12 pks of our own water and no one said anything.

Lastly, anyone out there sailing with us? Or anyone who has just returned? Would love to hear about the ship/your trip and we would love to meet folks from here on the ship.

Thanks to everyone for all the great advise. I love this site and am totally hooked. Have learned so much for everyone.

Safe sailing.

Hi Chefkel22,

First, take out half of what you packed !

Yes, you can take a "reasonable" amount of Pepsi onboard. I'd suggest you take a case of Pepsi, stick a luggage tag on it, and not have to carry it onboard.

Sounds like you're ready, otherwise! You have THE most important thing, $$$ in the bank !

(Don't forget the Duct Tape!!! )

We had a fantastic time on the Valor Western cruise. Are you doing the Eastern or Western?

Did you see my slide show of our cruise?

You can see it at:

Just click on the thumbnail of the sun setting over the ocean.

We're sailing on the 9th too and can hardly contain ourselves! We've been planning this since our cruise to the Bahamas last Feb. and thought we had thought of everything, but the bungy cord/magnet is new! I assume it's to hold the balcony door open?

You will have a great time on the Valor. I was on her for the 3/5/-3/12 Sailing (Western). Nice ship, and a great staff!
