I'm looking to book a cruise on the Destiny out of San Juan. I have never sailed Carnival before and was wondering if anyone had any advice about the Category 4C inside cabins on the Upper Deck.
Thanks for any info you can provide.
My opinion on inside cabins...........they are all the same on each deck. If you are getting a free upgrade, fine, but if you are paying more, stay on the lowest deck. We stayed on the Riviera deck of the Conquest, mid-ship, and it was nice and quiet. We were offered a free upgrade to the upper deck but, looking at the layout, the cabins we wanted would have been right over the casino, so I was worried about the noise and stayed put. For any cabin you are looking at, check out what's above and below you on the deck plan. For example, you wouldn't want to be above the disco. Looking at the Destiny's deck plan, you have some potential noise situations staying on the upper deck (lounges, disco, casino). Of course, it all depends if you are a light sleeper; I would not be happy there.
We were in a 4C Upper deck on the Liberty, we got it as an upgrade and we were right before the casino(below us) We never heard anything. We really liked that deck. Our next cruise is on the Destiny and our TA said she would put us midship on the Empress Deck for 85.00 extra. That was only 42.50 a piece so we decided to do it. That way the deck below us and above us are cabins. We have always gotten inside cabins and been lower and have been just fine. We only took the Upper deck like I said because it was an upgrade. When we go on the Destiny in Feb. it will be our 1st balcony!! Yeah!! Have a great time.

I'm sorry. I wish I could help with the cabin. I was on Destiny this past February and it was the best vacation I've ever had. I confess. I wasn't in my cabin all that much except to change and sleep. HAHAHA
Life is too short to let the ship of your dreams sail without you.

Want to thank all of you for your input. Still haven't made up my mind but at least I have some helpful advice now. I'm sure we won't be in our cabin much either, Dina!!
We've sailed with Royal Carribean and Celebrity before but this is our first Carnival cruise.
I love cruising and my feeling is that as long as you pack your good attitude along with the rest of your things, there's no such thing as a bad vacation. Hope I'm never proved wrong.
Thanks again to all of you. Have a good summer and great travels.
