There are many of us who cruise - or have only cruised carnival. Do any of you get tired of the same old games they do? What do you do during sea days? Do you find any ships have different activities? Do other cruise lines have different kinds of activities? How often do they change the shows they do on the ships? I remember going on the Inspiration two years in a row and the shows were the same. But, maybe because I'm getting older (getting.......or am there!) I don't participate in the activities like I use to. Watch them on TV later in the day. Spent time on my balcony reading and listening to the waves. Can't say I read to much as the beautiful sound of the waves put me to sleep! :-)
As far as activities on board RC ships.... on pool deck.... belly flop contest, sexy legs contest, horse races, sometimes ice sculpture creating. In casino, there are usually slot tourneys, bingo, rock climbing, variety of sports on sport courts, mini golf on most ships, ice skating on the voyager class ships, surfing on the new Freedom class ships, art auctions, towel folding demos, napkin folding demos, shopping and port lectures, movies in the theatre....... and a whole lot more.
As far as being bored with games... they are always fun, each time there are different contestants which make each unique. What I find boring are the same quotes used by EVERY cruise director during the week... i.e top 10 stupid questions... etc. As far as shows go... I believe most of the shows change on RC ships about once a year, when the onboard cast changes.
Im never bored on sea days I love em! I like sleep late, order room service fpr breakfast, then to lay by the pool in the afternoon go check out the band and games. Hairy chest is a hoot! So is sexy legs. Always different because the contestants change and improvise. Even the horse race was fun (watching this little man in his 70's) who was so excited and having having a ball moving his horse! I usually eat lunch on deck, swim, workout, shower, shop and get ready for dinner. I also like to read on deck, take photos, and roam the ship and talk to people. Not sure how often the shows change. The guest talent contests and karioke can be corny or fantastic but always brings a smile on my face. I still enjoy the dancing singing waitstaff and hope they don't feel foolish. I used to work in a bar and we had to dance and sing the the YMCA, I still hate that song!
But the customers got a kick out of it.
