can anybody help me out with this. don't want to take the carnival
transfers to and from ship. has anybody taken a taxi or rented a
limo to do this. also what is the cost and names of companies used.
help is greatly appreicated.
It's about a 45 minute ride to the port so I think a taxi would be expensive. Not sure of limo service but I think others have use Legacy Limo. We rented a car from Budget. Their drop off location is only 1/4 mile from the port and they were very helpful and friendly. They also pick you up if you have reserved a car for your return. It is an easy drive too. Have a great time.

We used Legacy Limo and were very happy with them. I can't give you a price as we used them for a pre and post cruise stay too so what I paid included that. When pricing it out I thought they were very reasonable.

i know enterprise rental car does one way rentals from Orlando Aiport to Port Canaveral but they call it Cape Canaveral. There is no extra fee for the drop off in a different city like normal, its just the daily rate. They also rent to people as young as 21 with extra fee. You can't book this online, but if you call, they can do the reservation.

Another option is Mears Transportation Services. Their website is http://www.mearstransportation.com/m...sportation.asp. If you want to make a reservation, you can call them at (407) 423-5566. Be advised, they are the company contracted by Carnival, Disney, and Holland America to run the ship/airport transfer services, but you can reserve a luxury sedan or shuttle van.
