Well, after 6 months having the Conquest booked with an AFT cabin, I changed to the Carnival Liberty going to Limon, Costa Rica, Costa Maya, Mexico and Panama. These are all ports I have not visited. I hope I didn't make a mistake now! And..I also booked a GTY room - balcony. I have never booked a GTY room before. I pray I don't get a bad location! Whats the chance 10 months out? Any comments on any of these ports, ship or room is appreciated!!!
I dont think you will be unhappy with a balcony room on the Liberty.
Its a wonderful ship. We were on the Liberty in march.
We were on the deck below the lido deck and our room was right around the corner from a elavtor. Perfect. Never heard any noise from the floor above or in the halls. If you know your room number you can go to the carnival web site and see where your room is.
Have fun
Cheryl, we booked a guarantee balcony on Valor two years ago and they gave us a high deck, but the first cabin next to the bridge. I was skeptical about this because we always choose to be toward the back. Anyway, we loved the location and you could see what's happening on the bridge. To us all balconies are great; (sailing the Liberty Jan. 14).
Hey cherylroy.
I booked GTY Balcony last July 21st for my family. we booked 3 cabins on the Legend for June 5th (yippee....almost here!) We were praying to at least be assigned close to each other if not the same deck. Yesterday my cruise agent confirmed our cabins: Panorama Deck category 8-I, extended balconies ADJOINED! Plus $100. per person ship board credits as a bonus. Relax............there is no way you will get obstructed view, or anything that will crush your dreams......that's a guarantee from this experienced cruise bum! Now, direct your attention to counting the minutes until sail date and have a wonderful fun time!

Wow beachbum...that is awesome! Thanks!! When you book a gty room tho - when or how do you find out your room before the cruise if your TA doesn't tell you?
Generally GTY room info is assigned at the terminal when you present your documents....but my cruise agent knows i will bug him to death if I don't know at least 3-4 wks prior to sail. I've been using him for so many years he knows what I expect and he always gets answers before my documents arrive! If the information is available to him thru his connections, he passes it on to me. Also this booking was done last July 21st so since they have played with my money for 10 months, they complied with my agents inquiry sooner than normal. If you are looking for an agent who works harder than anyone in the business, send me a pvt. msg and I will be happy to give you his tel# no strings attached. He is my cruise guru - over 20 years in the business and recently purchased his own independent franchise and brought his customer following with him. We are the beneficiaries of his smart move! contact me if you want details...I will be glad to assist.
