After reading the FAQ's re carry-on sizes I noted two conflicting items:
On the item marked "Luggage" size for scanners states 11"x17" x any length. On the item marked "Security" what to bring aboard (restrictions). stated carry-on size is 17"x24" x any length. I have made numerous phone calls and e-mail inquiries for correct information and yesterday I received an e-mail message from Carnival which I have pasted below this post. I hope it clears up any confusion guests may have encountered when seeking details. By the way, all TSA scanner machines are the same size whether in cruise terminals or airports, so let this be your guide:
Thank you for visiting carnival.com. In regards to your query, the carry on must be 24"x16"
If there is anything else, please don't hesitate to ask.
