onboard credit

If you have a on board credit does it appear on your docs when you get it?Or how do you know for sure you have it?I just recieved a onboard credit of $160 because the price of my cruise went down.just want to make sure I really get it.

My TA gave me a check when I picked up my docs.
She said it was for the price change in my room.

It should show up in your docs and when you get on board check with the Purser's Desk. I had one from my TA and somehow it didn't show up on board. I called her on my cell phone before we left the port and she said she'd mail me a check. It was at my house when I arrived home.

If you get a shipboard credit prior to receiving your documents, it should have the credit showing. If you get a credit after receiving your docs, make sure you get a confirmation of that from your agent.

My Carnival PVP always sends me an email confirmation about any shipboard credits. I print out this confirmation and take it with me on the cruise. That way, should there be any discrepancy or misunderstanding, I have the PROOF right in my hand. (Only happened once...glad I had it.)
