Default Dolphin swim at Puerto Adventuras - worth it?

This is our very first cruise! Our family will board Conquest at Galveston on June 11. 13-y/o daughter is dying to swim with dolphins. I see that the facility at Cozumel's national park is not having dolphin encounters due to Wilma's damage. Please give any feedback.
We're also trying to decide what to do at Montego Bay - the waterfalls or the tubing. Any info appreciated!
Will do stingrays at Grand Cayman - what else is recommended?
Should we book early online thru Carnival site, or when we get on ship?
We are sooooo the newbies.
BTW our son is 19. 2 adults and 2 teens.
Thanks!

I did the swim last year in Cozumel before the hurricane and it was worth every penny. Its a once in a lifetime kind of expirence. I understood that the park would be opening back up about this time??

from cozumelinsider.com's web site:
Name: Cozumel Dolphin Encounter
Provider: Dolphin Discovery
Availability: POST WILMA- RESERVE NOW FOR JULY 1ST, 2006
July reservations - activity time 3:30pm

If you can possibly let me know any other info, please do. Do you have any direct links to this park? I did not find one that provided up-to-date info.
I would much prefer the Cozumel park dolphin swim to the Puerto Adventuras one for my daughter b/c of the time factor and location. Thanks!

Tabby, I feel for you about the Dolphins. We were suppose to do it Christmas and the Hurricane messed that up. The dolphins were suppose to be back by now, but your info is correct. They have been delayed again. If you choose to do them on the mainland, go through Carnival. That way if there is a delay, you will be waited for. I understand that it is just as fun there as in the park in Coz. Same dolphins.

In Jamaica my hubby and teen boys did the tubing, and were bored. Do the falls instead.

In Grand Cayman do the swim with the Rays. You will be the hit of your family.

Hope that helps a little. We have all been Newbies, so don't be afraid to ask all the questions you can think of.

Luanne

I have seen the dolphin enclosure at Puerto Aventuras and I can tell you the area is very nice. The Omni Resort right is right next to it and is a great place to spend a day just playing in the water, snorkelling, or laying around in the sand by the beachside bar.
There are very nice shops, restaurants and boutiques surrounding the dolphin enclosure. The food at the Omni is good too and they welcome cruise passengers. Also there is a dive shop on site if you need to rent snorkel equipment or if you want to try scuba. They also offered a locker to us while we snorkelled.
If you are docked at Calica it only takes a few minutes to get there. Hope you have a great time.
Also Puerto Aventuras is a gated area and very safe, no will bother you.
