We have 6 people in our group. Three are past guests. Will they allow us each to take a guest to the party?
We don't want to leave everyone else, so long suckers we are going to get the free drinks, we would rather they went with us.
If I remember correctly, the past guest party is just for past guests. I do not think they allow guests..... I know I wanted to take my parents with me last time, and they would not allow it.
A bad cruise is still better than a good week at work!!!
Fascination, My Birthday Cruise!
10-02-05 Valor My favorite yet!
10-23-04 Triumph (Honeymoon of my dreams)
I just booked my first cruise today on the Sensation.
My Wife has cruised once before with Carnival and he found her past cruise and entered her as a past guest.
Does this mean my Wife gets to go to the party but I have to stay by the pool or something?
It is my understanding that anyone booked in the same cabin, will be invited. As for friends and relatives?, No invite.
This is a gathering to show some token of appreciation to those who have sailed Carnival before. If exceptions are made, where will it stop?
Enjoy the free drinks and watch the video, and then join your fellow travelers afterwards.
(My in-laws will not be joining my wife and I.)
If the person sharing your stateroom is not a past guest, they will be included in the invitation. If people traveling with you are not past guests and staying in their own staterooms, they will not be invited.
I don't believe they allow you to bring a guest (at least they didn't when we went to our past guest party in 2005). The parties are exclusive for past guests only...if they allowed non-past guests to go to the party it would kind of defeat the purpose I think
Per Carnival policy, invitations will be sent to past guests only. Exceptions can be made depending on the total number of past guest on the ship and size of the facility to accommodate all. How strictly this is enforced is a different matter. In my experience, it is not. I've never seen employees really checking invitations, and this applies not only to Carnival. But some cruiser did see it. You may want to ask the purser's deck if it's possible to get an extra invitation - they should know the total number of past guests.
Im with jdfireman, usually just walk with the group hand the invite and say they are with me....
never seen "security" that tight!
Also, just for fun, have everyone check off the little box on the boarding pass you fill out in adavce of gettting on the ship that asks "have you sailed with us before?"
I dont know how they do the invites, but that might get it for you.
Anyway, enjoy no matter what!

There is 14 of us going on the valor in Oct. and only 7 of us our past guest but in order for all of us to be able to go to the party each person that has not been on a cruise before just booked their room with a past guest and then when you get to the port they will switch it to the right rooms. This is how we have done this for the past few years and we never have any problems.
