The Boat Yard in Barbados

Has anyone been to the boat yard in Barbados?

How much to use the beach and what do you get with it (chairs, nonmotorized sports, access trampoline, etc...)?

How far away is the beach from the cruise pier?

Do they have lockers?

I believe they have snorkel tours to look at ship wrecks and turtles. Is this the same place the ship tours take you?

Is the trampoline way out there or is near shore?

We've been to the Boatyard Beach in Barbados. Its not far from the pier, in fact we walked through town and then to the pier on the way back. I believe the cost was around $10 to get in and that gave you use of the facilities and a chair. The trampoline was out aways. YOu can rent jet skis there too. All around nice beach.

How do you get there from the pier? Do you walk down Princess Highway?

Hi Paul,
We had a cab take us to Harrison's caves first and then drop us off at the beach. You can either get directions before you get off the ship, I have a feeling almost all the crew could tell you how to walk there, or just grab a cab to the beach and walk back if you feel like it.

We did the same thing as Donna except we decided to go to Malibu Beach which is very close to the pier as well. It was a fantastic day.

We went to the Boat Yard in April and had a great time - water was crystal clear. There is also a rope swing which was alot of fun. Cost was $12 which included voucher for one free drink - chairs were included. Only drawback were the peddlers who never leave you alone.
Took a taxi from the ship.
