OK, 1st place goes to eating but since that sounds a tad gluttonous my second favorite thing is talking to all the nice people you meet on a cruise ship.
SS Norway (12 times) '85 - '97; Radiance OS 06/01; Island Princess 11/04, Grand Princess 11/04/05, Golden Princess 7/21/06, Golden Princess 2/24/07, Explorer of the Seas 12/23/07, Island Princess 11/15/08
Life is too short to let the ship of your dreams sail without you.

This past cruise, post "Katrina," we did absolutely nothing,,,,zilch,,,,,nada. Laid around and read, watched people and just plain rested for seven days. The only time we went into the theatre was to obtain a tender ticket in the Caymans. Did no shows at all. Had a most pleasant time. Usually, on a cruise, we are avid show-goers and participate in many activities.
This change only demostrates the variety a cruise has to offer. One can whoop it up, or just relax and replenish the body and soul. These diversities is what makes cruising so attractive, I suppose.
We've got another cruise planned for February and don't know what we'll do on that one either........we'll decide once on-board........What a great itenerary! Either way, we'll have another wonderful time.
My favorite alone thing to do is to read a book and listen to the water. My most fun thing to do is take line dancing classes with my now 15 year old daughter. It was a blast. We laughed so hard we have to leave.
One of my favorite things will also be reading a good book and listening to the water. But I like to take it a step further! I have a fart machine and when people walk by BAM you nail it. That way you you get in good reading time and awesome people watching at the same time. admit it.... your thinking about it aren't you lol. Guess where you can buy a fart machine? hahahahaha

If it is Carnival and it floats....we have sailed it!
Hubby ... DIAMOND (every ship except the Carnivale)
Me ... DIAMOND (every ship starting with the Tropicale)
20 year old son ... DIAMOND (every ship starting with the Tropicale...he is the only DOUBLE Milestone under the age of 21)
24 year old son ... DIAMOND
For us, its all about R & R Doing what ever we want, when we want. To enjoy the atmosphere on board, being pampered for a week. No dishes to wash, no beds to make-up, and someone else cook for us each night, and someone else does the dishes
Getting to see, and explore beautiful Islands, and there tropical blue waters.
I love the sound of the waves, and watching sunrises, and sunsets at sea. If you've never watched any, try to remember to do this.
Happy Sailing to all;
David

just sit back and relax, read a good book, talk with our friends, catch up on some sleep, jetlag is always killing us (depends on our arrival date/cruise departure).
Avoid any activities, too crowded, too much nonsense.
