Default embarkation time

Our cruise departs Galveston on July 1 at 4:00 pm. I plan to be at the pier with my documents, funpass, etc. already ready to go by 2:00. Is this cutting it too close or will I have plenty of time for boarding, etc.?

That should be fine. Most of the folks will be gone and it should not take all that long to check-in.

Now for me, I would be there NLT 1300; but that is just me.

We boarded at 12:30 but could not go to the cabin until 1:30...

Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Courage and perserverance have a magical talisman; before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish into the air.

Pick your company wisely! Hang around people who are going to help you become all God created you to be.

You'll have plenty of time to go thru the boarding process...is there a reason why you're not arriving until 2:00 p.m.? It usually takes 45 minutes to 1 hour before you are actually on the ship. I have never boarded a Carnival ship any later than 12:30 p.m. (arriving around 11:00-11:30 a.m.). This puts you on the ship in time to enjoy a leisurely cocktail and buffet lunch.

We went on the Conquest in 2005, arrived a little late at our private parking lot (believe we got to the lot around 2 PM)... They had a shuutle for us & our luggage.... The terminal had NO lines so we were wisked through, loved it.... Had time for a late lunch before the Sinking Drill.....
