I am Susan from Cincinnati. My husband and kids (12 and 14) are cruising on the Carnival Miracle on July 9. We haven't cruised in 9 1/2 years and I can't wait! This is the first time that we are bringing our kids along and I hope that they make some friends on the ship.
I am worried about my two daughters being in the same Camp Carnival group (12 to 14 year age group). They get on each others nerves really easily and I think it is best to split them up. I'm not familiar with how the camp is run or what to expect. Does the staff break up the teen group (12 to 14 yr olds) into further subgroups or are they together most of the time? I'm sure I am worrying over nothing, but I would hate to spend half of my trip listening to who did what to whom.

I thought the age break came at 15. Perhaps if your oldest is almost 15 and you wouldn't mind her with 15-17 year olds you can talk them into taking her? Not sure if they need proper ID for proof or anything. I am taking my first Carnival cruise in March and my 17 yr old son will be with us. So that's why I know about the age thing because he was really concerned that the younger (12, 13 yr. olds) would be "bugging us older kids".
