Default ANTICIPATION!!

Ohhhhh the anticipation; my cruise is over a year away and today I bought a few things in anticipation.

I got a nightlight that is also a clock; a backpack for a carryon (used a beach bag last time and it was a bit too small); a travel wallet for around my neck for port days; oh and a personal neck fan - you hang it around your neck like a necklace and the air blows up on your neck and face

Plus I've made a list of things to not forget...mostly from reading here.
Am I insane or is this typical

Nope CA,
Thats just typical behavior for any decent cruise addict, carry on.....Getting ready is almost half the fun, no harm in that.

Cruzaddict,

It's really hard to wait over a year for a cruise. The longest I have had to wait is 7 months. I hope the time goes fast for you.

I hope you have many wonderful cruises in your future!!

Hi cruzaddict,

You're perfectly normal in "our" world !

I'd like to know about the clock you bought. Is it always lit, or do you have to push a button to light it up? Is it battery operated? If it's always lit and battery operated, where did you find it

Thanks,

The clock portion runs on a watch battery so always runs whether you have it plugged in or not - you don't have to reset it each night when you plug in the nightlight.
The light itself is indiglo and is on all of the time the thing is plugged in.

I got it at walmart in the nightlight section for about 7 bucks - little higher than most nightlights, but it comes with the battery and serves that dual purpose.

Like you I am over a year away, I am sailing about 1 month after you on the conquest. I like the idea about the backpack, and the around the neck money holder.

Dina is exactly right.......pack in one particular box or space and just keep adding to. As you can see at the bottom of my post, mine is about 9 1/2 months away. I too am packing away stuff and buying for that cruise. I can't wait. You are now a cruise addict like the rest of us. Welcome!!!
