Default Questions!!!

Does anyone know what the Spa showers are like on the Carnival Triumph? On the Miracle they were little rooms with a lockable door, a bench, and the shower. Any ideas? Also, is it true that on Carnival you must be 21 to consume any alcoholic beverages? RCI allows 18-20 years olds consume wine and beer, but 21 and over can consume any alcoholic beverages. Any opinions on the Triumph (service, food, set-up of the ship, activities, etc...)? The more information the better.

Hi CruiseDreamer,

Sorry I can't help with your other questions, but here's Carnival's liquor policy:

Quote:
Liquor and Beverage Policy

Bringing Alcohol On Board - Embarkation

Guests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages on board. However, wine enthusiasts may bring fine wine or champagne on board only during embarkation at the beginning of the cruise. A $10 corkage fee per bottle will be charged should you wish to consume this wine in the dining room or a $14 corkage fee per bottle in the Supper Club. Guests may bring a small quantity of nonalcoholic beverages. All liquor, excessive quantities of wine and nonalcoholic beverages, to be determined at the discretion of security and/or embarkation personnel, will be confiscated and discarded without compensation. Guests may purchase a variety of beverages on board the ship. Alcoholic beverages will not be sold or served to anyone under the age of 21. We reserve the right to refuse the sale of alcoholic beverages to anyone. Alcoholic beverages purchased in the ship’s gift shops or in ports of call will be retained by Carnival until the end of the voyage.
Have a wonderful cruise!

I didn't realize that RCL let kids at the age of 18 drink. How do they get away with that?

Hi roynga,

Here's the RCL liquor policy from their site:

Quote:
Guests eighteen (18) years of age and older are welcome to play in our casinos (for all Alaska sailings, guests must be 21 years of age in order to play in our casinos).
Guests eighteen to twenty (18-20) years of age are welcome to enjoy beer and wine (for all Alaska sailings, guests must be 21 years of age in order to consume beer, wine and any other alcoholic beverages). Please note that a beverage waiver must be signed by a parent or legal guardian and they must also be sailing with the 18-20 year old.
Guests twenty-one (21) years of age and older are welcome to enjoy all alcoholic beverages.
They "get away" with it because they're not US based.

There is nothing to get away with... there is no federal law mandating a drinking age of 21. States imposed 21 year old drinking ages to ensure federal highway funds back in the 90's. Cruiselines can decide for themselves what age to serve alcohol.

That would be a clunker for our 20 yr. old and his 19 yr. old girlfriend. Here in Ontario, the drinking age is 19.

Well technically, anyone visiting a foreign country can consume alcohol and cigarettes in that country as long as they are of proper age for the country.

I still would really like to know about the Triumph's Spa showers. Somebody has to know.

That didn't stop them from selling a full bottle of vodka to my then 16 year old at a port though! AND he has a baby face to boot, so there's no way he could have been mistaken for older nor did they even ask. I suppose in some places a sale is just more important than anything else.

Ok, I'm sorry that I even asked the question about the alcohol age. All I want to know about is the Spa showers! What has nobody traveled on the Triumph? Somebody has to know! Or is everybody too concerned with drinking so they never went into the spa? If you want to talk about alcohol ages then start a new post so that I can get the answers I need on this post. Thank you.

CruiseDreamer,

If you post a new thread and title it "Triumph Spa Showers" you may get more responses.

Sorry if we "overdid" answering your alcohol question, but you did ask .
